Sojitz Corporation

1862

Iwai Bunsuke Shoten founded(1943: Company name changed to Iwai Sangyo Co., Ltd.)

1874

Suzuki & Co., Ltd. founded(1928: Nissho Co., Ltd. established as successor company)

1892

Japan Cotton Trading Co., Ltd. established (1982: Company name changes to Nichimen Co., Ltd.)

1968

Nissho Iwai Corporation established through merger between Nissho Co., Ltd. and Iwai Sangyo Co., Ltd.

2003

Nissho Iwai-Nichimen Holdings Corporation established through transfer of shares by Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation

2004

Companies merged to form a new company named Sojitz Corporation
